What we're looking for

Moneypool is seeking a talented, proactive individual ready to reach their full potential. The Data Engineer's primary responsibility is creating value from data generated by Moneypool's services and user base. This role involves gathering information from various sources, analyzing it to better understand business performance, and building AI tools that automate company processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop ETL/ELT data pipelines using Python and SQL
  • Create automated data ingestion processes from databases, APIs, and third-party services
  • Manage Databricks for large-scale data processing
  • Build and support data marts and SQL queries for business intelligence
  • Implement data validation checks to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Document data processes, schemas, and lineage for compliance purposes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements
  • Participate in code reviews and implement best practices
  • Stay current with emerging data engineering tools and methodologies

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, analytics, or related technical roles
  • Experience working with relational databases and data modeling concepts
  • Basic understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline concepts
  • Experience with Databricks and building data models desired, not required
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams
